1933. William Henry Blethen

William "Billy" Henry Blethen Former Resident of San Pablo William Henry "Billy" Blethen died at his Novato home Sun., 3/16/08. He was born in Richmond, CA and was 57 years old. He worked for Boca steakhouse, previously known as Orsi, then Dalecio Restaurant in Novato. He was a Maintenance/Gardener. Billy was the youngest of 11 children and survived by 6 remaining brothers and sisters: Audrey Thornton of Encinitas, CA, Stanley Blethen wife Rosemary of Antioch, CA, (David) Harold Blethen of AZ, Walter E. Blethen of Vallejo, CA, Marcia Childress wife of Jess of Antioch, CA, Nancy Cutlip wife of Frank of Vallejo, CA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Margaret Blethen, Kenneth Blethen Jr., Elaine Blethen, Raymond Blethen and Donald Lemons of Santa Rosa. He loved carpentry, restoring furniture, working on cars, poetry, cooking and entertaining, and shopping at thrift stores and garage sales. He was a member of the National Rifle Assoc. and Abate of California Motorcycle Club Billy was a hard worker and special brother of the family. He was a great friend and neighbor to many. He had a Heart of Gold that extended to everyone even strangers. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle on many motorcycle runs.


Lila Pearl Vickford

Lila Blethen, 89;
Bristol Resident
Lila Pearl Vickford Blethen of Bristol died Saturday. She was 89.
Born in Lakeville, Maine, she was retired from Newcombe Spring and was a former member of the Advent Christian Church of Plainville.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Blethen of Thomaston, Norris Blethen of Burlington and Arthur Blethen of Plainville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; andseveral nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Plainville. Calling hours will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home


Verona Sib Reardon

GUILFORD, Verona Sib Drew Blethen, 84, died April 28, 2004, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born November 25, 1919, in Lincoln Center, daughter of William and Lydia (Carle) Reardon. She worked for many years at Hardwood Products in Guilford. She was a past member of the Rebekahs, and of the South Sangerville Grange.

She is survived by a brother Beryl Reardon and his wife, Ethel of Guilford; 5 sisters-in-law, Vivian Reardon, Barbara Reardon, Juanita Littlefield, Marlene Farrin, and Dolly Zande; a daughter, Irene Cullicutt and her husband, Weldon of Parkman, and their children, Annette Nisenbaum, and Kevin Gourley; Bravis, Tina and Tani Cullicutt; and a son, Brent Drew of Abbot and his daughter Emily Drew. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren from her 3 predeceased children, Richard Drew, Dariel Gourley and Judiann Sinclair, namely Darla, Tracy, and Cory Drew; Scott, Stephen, Tommy, and Jason Gourley; Terrie, Kelly, Charlene, and Charles Sinclair; 36 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 3 stepchildren, Clifford and his wife, Myrna Blethen of Mass., Gertrude and her husband, Merton Carr of Raymond, and Roger Blethen of Brewer and their children, Kent and Dale Blethen; Theresa Talbot, Cherri Ann Wentworth; Roxanne Holmbolm; and Carol Blethen; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Nancy Murphy and a special friend, Betty Henderson. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Dwight I. Drew, her second husband, Clifford “Pat” Blethen, and a grandson, Timothy Gourley.

Friends may call 6-8 PM Sunday May 2, 2004, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St. in Guilford. A Graveside service will be held 11 AM Monday, May 3rd, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Pine Tree Hospice, 895 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.


1951. Elizabeth E Perham

DOVER-FOXCROFT - Elizabeth E. Kenney, 90, wife of the late Wilfred E. Kenney, died Oct. 28, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Barnard, the daughter of John Howard and Nora (Blethen) Perham. Elizabeth worked for many years at Old Town Shoe Co. Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Williamsburg, and spent many years traveling. She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge, serving in many offices. She was also a member of the Brownville Community Church.

Elizabeth is survived by a son and daughter of New York; a sister, Alice Perham of Dover-Foxcroft, several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Friends are invited to call 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Rev. David McLeish officiating.
